presenting Gargamel?
Got my new 2yr old caulker male in from Vin Russo today! He's looking nice! Proportionately his head seems wider and his eyes are bigger, he has a lot more speckling both ontop and his belly. Here are some shots from my phone at work, I'll get more when he settles in.

Re: presenting Gargamel?
I love the names BTW. You need to find some little Smurfs and mushrooms to put in their enclosures.

Re: presenting Gargamel?
Nice addition! Lots of Caulkers popping up on here
However, one thing to keep in mind when receiving a new reptile.
The process can be quite stressful on them, so protocol is to not handle them for about a week. This allows them to relax from their trip and get accustomed to their new surroundings. I personally try not to free handle any shipped reptile for 7-10 days. Unless there is an issue obviously.

Is that a caulker, because it doesn't really look like one to me going by it's saddles, they are very thin, and she has quite a bit of red in her tail...

Re: presenting Gargamel?
Aaron-Insular: Nice Caulker! I would like to get a Crawl some year... lol.
Amaurer, yours looks to be a very nice Colombian Bci which is nothing like a Caulker. Colombians are quite variable, some will have speckles, some will not.

Re: presenting Gargamel?
You got a nice one. My Little guy has got a long way to go to get that size. I like the Caulkers because their head markings remind me of like a medieval cross or something. I'm just weird like that...

Re: presenting Gargamel?
Awesome Cay!!! So you too gave Mr. Russo a bit of business lately as well, that is so cool. I love Cays. I have had Bullet for a little over a year. He is just the most curious boa. IMO, I think that Cays are one of the best sub species of boa. I now have 3 Cay Caulkers, 1.2.0. I'm hoping for some babies in a few years.
Love the names as well, I loved watching the smurfs when I was growing up.

Thanks man, my female just happened to be a lucky find as a trade back to a local reptile shop, I picked her up and fell in love. I read as much as I could find on the net on island boas and just got more and more interested in them! I was told Vin was the breader she had came from, so I emailed him and he confirmed the purchace! Seeing that she is 3yrs old, I contacted Vin about getting an older male so I could breed with her sooner then later, I had to pay a little more for him then a neo, but well worth it IMO!!
