Mojo's cage is done, and next week the RHPs and T-stat is shipping, once I've paid it off (yaaay! :)), so he's ready to go into his new home. Vlad is no big deal- he's a big boy, and he now is gonna get his new home all to himself.

But Mojo is still a baby, and is only wee... about 2 foot. The size of the cage is 2 foot by 4 foot (4 foot high as well, but that will be changed later on... right now I am just not adding any way for him to climb... later I'll change it so he has about 18" or so of space instead).

Clearly, this is too big for a baby... right!? But I want to move him over into it. How can I do this?? Can I just put his smaller tank in there for now, smack dab in the middle so that it has a heat variant?

So I got these little luv nips while at Predators Reptile Center. We were looking into a possible purchase and wanted to see him before he was packed off to the Vegas show. It was one of those situations where you first get hold of 'em and they don't really have a grip on you yet and kind of roll over, and while trying to help him stabilize himself I neglected to control his head. I was supporting his tail, and the mid section of his body leaving him plenty of room to say hello. Being the primitive kind of guy I am, I wanted blood for blood... So we put a deposit on him.

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

He is a gorgeous blood, and there is a good chance that he may be paired with my Pastel Salmon(instead of my Anery) if he is out of quarantine in time. That will be a tough one for me, I've been looking forward to breeding my Anery for some time. Things were a little rushed with them packing for the show, so I'll get better pics a bit later. But he has those connected saddles all the way down, a nice rich(and dark) tail, and reddish ventral scales. Exciting times, Thanks for looking!

Some of may remember me, most of you wont. I left this site when I was 18 and going threw big changes in my life. I was kicked out my moms house at 18 and had to sell all 13 red tailed boas I had. I used that money to hop on a greyhound to phoenix az where I started big boy life. I got a job at a restaurant and made my way up to a manager bought my own truck and started to do really good. But my party life took me down, I also was very lonely family wise. So I packed my stuff up again and moved back to Las Vegas NV to be around family. Got another good job ata upscale sea food restaurant and have been doing very well and staying away from the hard party life and that all surrounds it. I still very much like boas, but my new interest now lies with lizards and geckos. I have a Adult male regular leopard gecko and a Mack snow adult female leopard gecko. Bought them as adults about a month ago and they have been mating like crazy these last few days. Sooo yeaaa. Its cool to be back and your gonna probably catch me in the gecko threads a ton!! Have a good rest of your day to all.

Yesterday, I had to put my Frilled Dragon -- Ms. Frizzle -- down. She suffered from a stroke and it came down to her quality of life. The vet said she may recover, but there was a 50-50 chance of that. He also said she may die during the night which would mean she would die in pain.

I didn't have her for very long, but I loved her all the same. I grew very attached to her during the time I had her especially because she had special needs. Ms. Frizzle was nearly blind for most of her life and because of that she was hand fed. Her vision didn't affect her at all aside from having a hard time hunting. She was used to her tank so she had no problem getting around it.

Ms. Frizzle grew attached to me as well. She knew when I came into the room and would often give me "kisses" as I call them. Though it was probably her looking for more food since I hand fed her and she loved food. Either way it was nice to know she recognized my voice and touch. Even at the vet yesterday she was calm sleeping in my hand, but if someone else handled her she would wake up and get upset.

Yesterday was terrify for me and I can't even imagine how she must have felt. I'm only thankful because I know I did the right thing. The vet wasn't able to tell me what might have caused the stroke his response was, "sometimes these things just happen and they aren't in your control".

Even with the vet telling me I took great care of her I still can't help but feel responsible for something.

Ms. Frizzle, I miss you.

Boy am I a happy camper tonight.... So as per my earlier post a few days ago I was switching from live.... To F/T..... IT WENT GREAT!!!!! It took her a few minutes to decide whether she wanted it or not.... And she wouldn't take it off of the tongs. So I just let it sit in front of her and walked away.... She "sniffed" over it for a few mins then started choking down the head!!!!! I did have to turn off the lights so she would eat though... She's a shy baby!!!!! I couldn't be happier!!!! We'll go for another next week!!!!! Hopefully the same results!!!!! And thanks for the suggestions of a small rat!!!!! It was just right!!!!!!!!
